I’m a Psychologist studying the turn and temper of minds and times. How do people think in complex areas across domains? How do pressures and patterns of behavior combine to yield decisions by leaders?
The answers to these questions often lead to lessons that can help one live a better life. In addition, a particular interest is studying leadership decisions to value organizations/markets. Most focus on the numbers and figureheads, but often overlook the people behind those numbers and leaders–their reasons, pressures, biases, tendencies, and behavioral patterns. The goal is to uncover the core reasons for decisions at every level from leadership to mad crowd, then translate that information into actions.
“If you are desirous of obtaining a great name, of becoming the founder of a sect or establishment, be completely mad; but be sure that your madness corresponds with the turn and temper of your age. Have in your madness reason enough to guide your extravagances; and forget not to be excessively opinionated and obstinate. It is certainly possible that you may get hanged; but if you escape hanging you will have altars erected to you.” Voltaire
Patterns repeat, so intuit with long run reason.
